After more than three years of construction, the first phase of the new Noordwest Ziekenhuisgroep hospital in Alkmaar has been successfully completed. The new hospital building represents a significant step towards a modern healthcare environment centred on innovation, sustainability and high-quality patient care. The Helvar lighting management system makes a significant contribution to this by creating a comfortable, efficient and flexibly controllable lighting system.

For this large-scale project, we supplied a flexible DALI lighting control system tailored to the hospital’s various functions, ranging from patient rooms and treatment rooms to general circulation areas. Our control panels allow users to select from pre-set scenes to ensure the right lighting at the right time.

The biggest challenge lay in the scale of the project. To keep the installation clear and manageable, every room and space was structured according to the same system layout. This meant that most of the engineering work could be carried out in the office, making it easy to identify on site.
