Glanerbrook Sports Park

Glanerbrook Sports Park in Geleen has undergone a major refurbishment. With several swimming pools, a brand-new ice rink, large catering facilities and, outside, a cycling track and an indoor ice rink, Glanerbrook is set to become Limburg’s sporting hotspot! Commissioned by Spie, we are responsible for implementing the lighting management system for Glanerbrook.

Routers have been installed throughout the complex, organised by zone, to keep cable runs short. The lighting in the sports halls, catering areas and other spaces can be easily controlled via touchscreens with floor plan controls. For luminaires not controlled via DALI, various relays have been integrated into the system.

In addition, a weather station is linked to our Helvar 490 2-channel motor controllers for controlling the sun blinds. This allows the sun blinds to be controlled automatically for each façade. An Ethernet switch provides the link to the burglar alarm system, including a sweep pulse when the alarm is activated and automatic lighting in the event of an alarm.

The result is a future-proof, comprehensive solution that contributes to the comfort, safety and efficient management of the complex.
