Field service engineer

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed specialist to service and support our Helvar products and software. Our customers are installers and technical services of end-users throughout the Netherlands.

Our projects mainly revolve around lighting control. We also provide integration of our software with other systems. Control via various types of touchscreens and tablets is also a service we frequently deliver in our projects. After delivery, we provide maintenance, updates and service. You are an important link in this process.

What will you do?

Your duties will include:

• Adjusting configured functionalities, mainly via remote access, sometimes on site
• Analysing, resolving and preventing faults in delivered systems
• Conduct service visits to customers with service subscriptions
• Maintaining and providing status reports of Helvar systems
• Advising customers on use, maintenance and optimisation of their lighting control systems
• Provide telephone support to customers who have received Designer software training
• Documenting work performed in service reports

We are looking for candidates (with):

• Technical knowledge in electrical engineering and modern software techniques
• Experience or interest in configuring lighting control systems or home automation
• Customer-oriented attitude, independence and strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills in Dutch, English is a plus
• You live in the Netherlands, preferably in the west of the country
