Smartport

The Solar Charging Company has developed the Smartport and Smart Energy Hubs. The Smartport and Smart Energy Hubs are smart energy solutions suited to the future of our society and the transition to renewable energy. These solutions are designed for the public and semi-public domain.

A Smartport is basically a solar carport covering 2 parking spaces. The system is modular and therefore expandable per 2 parking spaces. The optional battery system can also be extended modularly, as can the number of EV chargers. If required, it is even possible to increase the storage capacity afterwards, if indicated in advance. It is always possible to add more EV chargers afterwards if the maximum capacity was not initially chosen. So it is also possible to equip an entire car park with smartports where part of it is just a solar carport. The smartport is controlled by the EMS system. If required, this system can also be linked to the adjacent building.

The Smart Energy Hub is a solution where multiple Smartports are connected in a parking plaza. Here, the power of the modular system increases and customised solutions can be delivered.

The lighting in the hubs is controlled by an ActiveAhead Node Advanced. A multisensor is used per 2 parking bays. The sensor has a PIR sensor for motion detection and a light sensor. The light sensor prevents the light from switching on if there is sufficient daylight. If there is not enough daylight, the lights will go on automatically as soon as a car approaches.

As a result, the solution fits well with The Solar Charging Company's sustainable philosophy.
