Veenendaal
A fully time-controlled lighting control system determines the daily atmosphere in the Van der Valk Hotel along the A12 motorway near Veenendaal. The hotel is divided into a number of zones where the lighting in these zones changes in intensity and atmosphere over the course of the day, depending on activities such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and cleaning.
The new hotel has 150 luxury rooms and 15 multifunctional meeting and conference rooms. The largest of which can accommodate around 300 people. There is also space for a wellness and fitness centre and a restaurant with a bar. The entire hotel complex covers an area of around 25,000 m2.
The lighting management system can be manually overridden on a centrally placed touchscreen if necessary, and the astronomical timer in the DALI routers take into account summer and winter time. Integration with the AV system has been made per room for easy control of lighting, sound and image.
