The Playhouse

We were commissioned to install a Helvar lighting management system at Theater Speelhuis in Helmond, which perfectly meets the wishes and needs of the end users and the requirements of the cultural venue. Among other things, the system offers maximum flexibility for performances and events.

As part of the project, colour control systems have been installed for the chandeliers and the bar, amongst other areas, making it easy to set the desired atmosphere in each room. In the auditorium, bar, foyer and dressing rooms, DALI luminaires have been integrated into the lighting control system. Relays have been fitted for non-DALI luminaires, and dimming modules have been used for phase dimmers, so that all light sources can be controlled centrally.

The entire system can be controlled via a 21-inch touchscreen, ensuring intuitive operation. In addition, the lighting is linked to the alarm system via our 942 input unit, so that the appropriate lighting scenarios are automatically activated in the event of an alarm.

The ability to log in remotely and provide support ensures continuity and optimal maintenance of the system. The result is a flexible, reliable and future-proof lighting control system that is perfectly suited to the dynamic nature of Het Speelhuis.
