They also help devise the best solutions for technically challenging issues. Their work is divided into three phases: preparation, commissioning on site and after-care.<\/p>\n<h4>1. Preparation<\/h4>\n<p>In the preparation phase, as much work as possible is carried out in the office. Our engineers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Place addresses by the luminaires on the lighting drawings so that they can be quickly identified on site.<\/li>\n<li>Process the desired functionalities in a function matrix, which defines the lighting groups and their functionalities for each room. Scenes are also included in this. This allows every engineer to commission the system to the same specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare touchscreens, with a standard layout or customised visualisation, depending on customer requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>2. Commissioning on site<\/h4>\n<p>After the preparations, on-site engineers start commissioning the system. This process includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identifying all fixtures and field components, after which they are correctly named and grouped.<\/li>\n<li>Assigning the functionalities from the function matrix to the groups and components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>3. The DALI protocol is the worldwide standard for professional and digital control of lighting. All major lighting manufacturers have come to an agreement on how a lighting system should communicate with the control and operating systems. This is laid down by the IECC in the technical standard IEC62386. The DALI standard describes what manufacturers must comply with in order to manufacture DALI-certified equipment.
